PINs (note that PIN Numbers is incorrect) can be much longer than 4 digits here. Mine is 8 digits for instance.

So you'd suggest 1 number PINs would be the best? Or perhaps go all the way and have 0 number PINs? :p

on my supermarket credit card (only valid to charge my purchases there direcly on my bank account, not usable in any other chain or anywhere else) I chose to have no PIN, trusting that I won't lose it and that supermarket scanner aren't subject to card cloning scams.
Of course the clerks always prompt me to enter my PIN before realising that it's not needed, nullifying the ease of use advantages...
