Glastonbury takes place this weekend. A few of my friends from work are going. I know Glastonbury is essentially about the 'Glastonbury experience' more than the music but for such a big event the line up still looks a bit lacking in quality at the top end of the bill.

Anyone else going to any festivals in the UK or elsewhere?

Going to try and get into Reading on the Saturday to see my brother's band (and protein's new band), it's sold out and I don't have a ticket, so we'll see.

That's always been the way, and it doesn't really matter. If you stay parked in front of the main stages, you're missing the point.

Ha, ha, was going make that joke, but you "got there quicker".

I'm going to the Trowbridge pump festival. It is the cultural highlight of the year!

I'm going to Lowlands this year, last year was fun so I might just as well do it again this time. Not much of an idea yet who's playing, but that's of secondary importance. I might also go to Waldrock, a metal festival about an hour from here, but only if I can convince some other people to join.

Also, apparently there's some festival in the arsehole of the Netherlands this weekend that have nevertheless managed to attract Pete and the Pirates. I'll probably end up going there.

I am old - I just watch on TV. Now, we have the option and in the past we did not have the option (in the good old days).
