From now rain or shine, or until I get lazy or forget, I am going to conduct a rigorous scientific experiment with the squirrels of Bute Park both to and from work each week day...

As I will be taking the same route it should be a consistent basis to draw results from.

So far we have 9 squirrels seen on the way home yesterday from about 5:05pm, and this morning from about 9:45am I only saw 3.

This early on in the experiment I can already deduce that most squirrels are lazy fuckers who don't like getting up in the morning...

Funko

My conclusion is that you're tired and bleary eyed and not paying attention in the mornings.

Tizzy

My conclusion is that the schmartje squirrels are avoiding you.

My conclusion is that squirrels are invisble in the morning

MOBIUS
19-06-2007, 10:07:21
Except for the non invisible ones?

Tizzy
19-06-2007, 10:08:19
They're the ones which are too stupid to invisible-ify themselves.

My conclusion is that those ain't squrrels (because they are not invisble).

A squirrel imitating species. Pseudosquirrulum Bobosum

Also too stupid not to still be asleep.

I am detecting a pattern here, this is groundbreaking seriously serious stuff!

That's the best excuse for hanging around Bute Park at odd hours I've ever heard.

The squirrels that aren't there are obviously in their ship somewhere over North America planning to mutilate farm animals and making crop circles, and maybe even doing some of it.

They're usually back in the UK by tea time.

:cute:

Only 4 yesterday heading back, however it was raining so that is another parameter to factor in.

This morning there were only 2!!!

One of you hasn't tipped them off and they're hiding from me...?

Very suspicious!

OK, there were six on the way home - but this morning it was drizzling quite heavily and there wasn't a single one!

So today I made an amazing discovery that squirrels don't like the rain!

Maja
21-06-2007, 09:01:46
rain makes them invisible you fewl!!!

Frozzo
21-06-2007, 10:42:30
You can sort out the stupid theories using Ockham's razor: tke a common razor and kill all squirrels

Funko
21-06-2007, 10:50:37
Alternative conclusion: rain makes visibility poorer so MOBIUS didn't spot any squirrels.

Update!!!

Funko and Tizzy were privy to some very important information when they were down here in Cardiff that I was too lazy to post on CG...

After a very quiet Summer of seeing maybe one or two squirrels a day which wasn't really worth reporting, there has recently in the last month or so been a veritable explosion of squirrel numbers...

This is not a phenomenon isolated to the city's main park, but also the smaller parks across busy roads and even individual trees relatively far away as they spread their squirrelly influence!

Which draws me to the obvious conclusion - the squirrels are taking over Cardiff!!!

King_Ghidra
12-10-2007, 09:56:32
more importantly, whatever happened to frozzo?

MOBIUS

 He struggled to get some of the kids to eat a chicken wrap, what hope has he got with a squirrel one?

I'd eat it. Where do I get some?

SQUIRREL WATCH UPDATE - ZOMFG, THEY'VE KILLED THEM ALL!!!:eek::eek:

It suddenly occurred to me today that there are NO SQUIRRELS IN THE PARK!!!

Therefore they are dead, because the law regarding trapping squirrels is that once you have captured them, they have to be killed because they are classified as a pest.
