To say that I'm under pressure at work right now would be something of an understatement. Thanks to a "restructure" I've now got to find an extra half-day every day to clear a mountain of meaningless shit.

I'm going to moan at people until they hate me even more than they already do.

Wouldn't it be more efficient to do it at work?

Not if it's the hatred of CG that I crave.

The problem may have been solved. To cut a long story short, I'm not the only person in this position. We called a meeting with management today which pretty much consisted of us saying the following-

"What you're asking us to do is both impossible and totally at odds with what our prime objective is. We're not doing it. Sort it out, or we'll happily sit back and watch your targets go up in flames. Incidentally, we think you're really fucking dumb to have even tried it. Bye."

I'm in the union and know the HR rules back-to-front. I've also got 14 years service and qualify for enhanced severance terms. If they get rid of me, it'll cost them a lot.

Aux armes!

Q. Are there any serious grounds for assuming that the present Blair regime in England will lead directly to the proletarian dictatorship?

A. We fail to see them. On the contrary, we think that the insurmountable economic colonial and international complications of the present Blair Regime will serve as grist to the mills of the petty-bourgeois opposition as represented by the so-called Conservative Party.

Little known fact: Trotsky was never assassinated, but went on to serve as the coach and role model for the protagonist in 'Eraserhead'.

Swear to Marx, it's true...
