You are welcome to join in with the story at any point.

I read it, I am still working out where to take it.

I don't have a clue either.

I think that writing this in very small chunks might be a good idea. Basically write a bit, leave it on a bit of a cliffhanger and go.

I was waiting for Venom to appear in the bar as your trusty but ever so violent side kick

I think you need subtlety rather than muscle. Industrial espionage is the way forward.

Funkodrom

I realised that it would be a little predictable to bring Venom in but then... what the hell. :D

Both would be useful but I need someone to get shot saving my life at some point in the story and that's always the muscle. ;)

Venom

HEY! I can be subtle! Sneak a bomb in their suitcase or whatever.

Actually I haven't even read it yet.

Maybe, just maybe I'll write.

OK so I was enjoying the story on FFZ and I wanted to carry on the characters.

Heh, heh.
Nice noir MikeH: H is for Hammer.

Funkodrom

MC Hammer? :D

Only if he is Scottish.

jsorense

Well I put my 2 cents in.
I have sort of set the time as post WWII, where most film noir took place. Mike your tone and conversations sounds USA to me so I have used that assumption.
I didn't designate a city, I'm not sure it would be important.
If I am totally off base then I will delete and resubmit.

You are right, that's what I was intending. Glad it came across and nice addition. :)

Good one jsorense.:D

All characters in my writings are completely fictional. Any resemblance to any person, living or dead, is coincidental.
Except for Venom who is all too real.

Iwas thinking industrial espionage for myself, but I am quite happy to play the evil capitalist with a high streak of ignorance.:)

jsorense
13-11-2001, 22:36:14
Just think about all of your minions that you can send to do all of your own evil doing.

If I get to play with the white cat then I'll be very happy.:)

Venom
14-11-2001, 14:58:20
Yes.

Funkodrom
14-11-2001, 16:32:12

Funkodrom
14-11-2001, 16:34:48

Venom
14-11-2001, 16:35:21
Fine go ahead and don't resist them.

Thanks Mike.

Cool. I'm going to keep adding really short exerpts. That way I'm more likely to keep writing them. :)

jsorense
20-11-2001, 21:41:09
Yes, small bites are the only size of contributions I will be able to create too. If we try to create chapter sized pieces, then I would never get anything done.
Oh, did you know Yanks get a four day Thanksgiving weekend this week?
HA, HA, HA,!

:p

Funkodrom
21-11-2001, 09:32:12
I've got 11 days off over Christmas. *shrug*

Roland

I gotta read that sometime. But what is that Mike Hunt original ?

And one thingie:

"Oh, did you know Yanks get a four day Thanksgiving weekend this week?"

Cool. With all the vacation backlog (entitled to 5 weeks per year), I'll start 2002 with a right to 12 weeks vacation (after taking one week off for Christmas).

Take that, Yank. :D :smoke:

I promise, after I finish up something I'm working on I'll write a little piece.

Venom,
I am really looking forward to reading your writing. I am sorrry to say that I don't remember your style for the CoFHs.
Go for it dude.

[jsorense in an aside to himself] I wonder why European productivity is so low, not.
:)

Funkodrom

Who cares? We are all having too much fun on holiday to worry about that.

I've even forgotten what my style is like since the CoFHs.

"I wonder why European productivity is so low"

Hourly Labour productivity = output/hours worked

Longer vacations tend to increase labour productivity as workers can recover more and are better motivated

Resource Consumer
22-11-2001, 11:40:26
However, does that entirely compensate (not that I complain about Euro holidays, you understand).

Is not output per man-year a better measure?

Funkodrom

Depends on the purpose; not in this case as it also a matter of labour/sparetime preference... ehm, sorry, Mike... :D

Funkodrom

Oh well. :D

Cool I'm a butler!

That does mean I get to do naughty things with chamber maids doesn't it?

Funkodrom
23-11-2001, 10:13:18
You know what they say when they find the maids pregnant?
