When Bossman was a fine wine salesman and turned up at my house with a boot load of wine which I happily tasted, one was lebanese, I wasn't convinced about it.

(today's "randomly stumbled upon thread)

We had some Lebanese wine in Dublin, along with an excellent Lebanese meal.
The wine was ok, took a bit of getting used to though. I have no idea what it was called, despite being determined to remember....

Chateau Musar is something special. It's made by a French wine buff who emigrated to the Bekaa Valley, and makes wine that the major wine experts rave about.

The other night I drank a 1999 Chateau Kefraya Reserve from Lebanon. It's much better then I thought a bottle of Arabian wine would taste but I know there is a large French influence in Lebanon especially amongst the Lebanese Christian population which dominates wine making in that country.

well, you wouldn't expect it to be dominated by Muslims :)

I was told (by some old Lebanese friends) that more Lebanese live in Montreal than live in Lebanon

Lesbianese whine:

Surely its easier to smash down barriers when you're a great big fat girl. There's no story here.

I'm yet to see or hear anything from Ditto which doesn't serve to remind me that she is a) fat, b) a lesbian or c) both. What next, Ditto eating out her lover on T4 Music? Just in case we forget.

Once in a while, you need a bottle of something really good. My standard everyday wine is Waitrose tempranillo- 11.99 for a 3-litre box.
