View Full Version : Metrosexuality attack

Lazarus and the Gimp

After years of clinging on to the "man's man" attitude to metrosexuality (ie- no moisturiser), I lost my senses yesterday and bought a bag because it matched my shoes.

I think I may be growing a uterus.

In my defence, the "bag" is a rucksack, and the matching design involves being covered in skulls.

Today I bought a matching beanie as well. Skulls appear to be cutting edge right now.

You're about three to four months off. The reason you're getting them at a reasonable price is because they're slipping out of fashion, slowly.

This spring look for metallic and futuristic fabrics as the next big thing.

not because of the bag thing but because of the skulls/bandana thing and scabby's subsequent weird comments.

so basically laz dresses up as a goth pirate and scabby as an astronaut at a rave

that's off the fashion radar any way you slice it

it's a clear Freudian compensation

you got your manbag rummaged inside, and you procured a new, inviolated one as inconscious stand-in

metrosexuality as a trend was imposed by cloth/cosmetics companies who wanted their sales to increase by making men care how they look in an extravagant degree and spend large amounts of money. Of course I'm so ironfeasted I remain a bum.

King_Ghidra
22-03-2007, 16:41:34
imposition is one point of view, changing attitudes of men who are no longer in fear of using sensible things like moisturiser because of fear of being called a gaylord is another

i prefer to think that fashion and cosmetics firms have just taken advantage of the latter

paiktis
22-03-2007, 16:43:45
people call me gaylord all the time, i never felt the need to use a moisturizer

I think men are just buying cosmetics etc so they have something to put in their manbags.

I don't need moisterizers. But I do need lotion. Not just for jerking off either.

I happen to live in a desert. My skin does get dry.

Plleeeeeeeeaaasse, please provide photo's of you wearing that stuff. On a big hairy bloke like you it would be hilarious. You'd be getting close to Brian Blessed in "Flash Gordon".

What they call a purse in the US we'd call a handbag in the UK.

In UK a purse is just a thing you keep money in, like a wallet for girls.

I bought an extra-large jumper in the Walthamstow Red Cross charity shop.

It is black.

It was 2:50 .

It is comfortable and warm. It turns out to be a Jeff Banks pully. Hoorah!

Fergus, proud of being a big gay homo who shops in charity shops.

I do regret not buying a Mr. Death badge when I was in Vancouver City Art Gallery....

If a purse has a capacity of about 20 litres, has two straps, is worn on the back, and is called a "rucksack" in Britain, then yes. I bought a purse.
