View Full Version : Target sucks

I had some 8x10's made from negatives from our Yellowstone trip last year, for my new office. Target can do them in about 40 minutes, but we decided to come back the next day.

Short version: I guessed wrong on one of the exposures I had printed (neat top-down view of an osprey in flight through one of the gorges, actually in focus), which would not be a problem except that the negatives were nowhere to be found.

As fair compensation for my irreplaceable negatives (about a dozen exposures), I got a 20$ gift card and my 8x10s were free (another 12 bucks).

I am wondering if this is some subtle hint to get with the program and buy a digital camera.

I know damn well they put them in another customer's envelope and that person probably never looked at the negatives.

If that picture shows up in the newspaper for some local high school photo contest, heads will roll.

/end crybaby rant

I feel better.

Reading OW's thread put it all in perspective for me.

Cool! When did we get these...!!?:drekkus: :drekkus: :drekkus:

Er, sorry for your loss MDA - perhaps it is time to invest that $20 in a new digital camera. You'll wonder why it took you so long to get one when you do!

well, at least they did try to rectify the situation somewhat. Could have been worse.. they could have said "well, you're sol"

they lost irreplaceable personal property of great sentimental value - there was NOTHING they could have done besides finding the negatives, really

shame on me for trusting two teenagers at their one-hour photo kiosk with it, honestly, but they've never lost anything of ours before
