Sometimes, just sometimes, I wish I actually paid my TV license, so I could moan about the fact they are wasting my money.

"The series, which made light of the Nazi occupation of France, ran on BBC One from 1982 to 1992. "

longer and more recent occupation thatn you'd think

I found it funny in 1982, when I was 11.

11 is not that old

i used to love 'allo 'allo!

it's shamelessly old school farce, but at its best still very cleverly constructed

i do still catch it from time on bbc repeats on sunday

I've got bad associations with 'allo 'allo. It's all those dreary rainy sunday afternoons when you're a kid and you know you have to go back to school on Monday and you can feel your precious weekend slipping away with nowhere to go and nothing on the telly but shite. (See also: antiques roadshow, last of the summer wine and songs of praise).
