The rules are that most posts in this thread have to be serious: silly posts are acceptable and indeed encouraged, but cannot be allowed to become the majority of the posts otherwise this thread will cease to become 'mostly serious', but will instead become 'mostly silly' and Nav will have to change its title. On his birthday!:gasmaske:

This post is of course a serious post because it talks about rules and the probability of Nav having to do some work.

Carry on.

This thread is nearly as good as Oerdin's PHd game thread.

Addendum: The next post also has to be serious to maintain the 'mostliness' of the serious content of this thread.

This is therefore another serious post.

I'm seriously thinking about the problem of rent-seeking in the regulations concerning various professions.

I weighed up the probability of doing work against the possibility of slacking off.

Oh no it wasn't!

It was very serious indeed - how can we be expected to maintain the integrity of a mostly serious thread if it is allowed to become mostly silly instead!!?

Nothing could ever be as good as that thread.
