The NHS vasectomy referral guide says I need to join the back, crack and sac brigade. The clinic guide says I don't.

Let the CG public decide!

You've got to think: Who are you doing this for? Yourself or your surgeon?

On one hand, it's gonna suck royally when they start growing back. On the other hand, you don't want anything distracting your surgeon while he poking at your soft bits with a knife.

do it. it's rather liberating. i reccommend using a beard trimmer before the blade. you might find out you enjoy it. just what ever you do, be careful.

Whatever you do, don't use Nair.

on the subject of trimming them, this site is pretty hilarious (for a corporate one)

You are right. Maybe Sultan's results were abnormal. Perhaps Laz should try Nair... for Science!

It'd save having to go into hospital...

Only if I can staunch the bleeding myself, and don't have to resort to gaffer tape.

I'd say go with the clinic advice its prolly up to date....ofc you could phone and ask if you need to de- hair your trouser furniture...maybe they decide when you come in... then i s'pose it depends whether the nurses provide a razor and ask you to do it yourself or whether they do it for you ;) .... but then you could end up with some hairy gorilla of a male nurse  instead of a hot sexy young student nurse

Get yourself a Brazilian so your missus has a perfect landing strip to aim for. As you can see, I prefer the depilated look - but then I have a little more 'fur' to shave...:cute:

Shave the front and back but keep the taint hair.

Shaving your nads: $5 (razor, shaving cream)
Staunching the flow of blood: $2.25 (cotton balls, dettol and bandaids)
The look when you're hairy from your chest down to your recently shaved private parts: priceless
