I heard about this on the radio. Apparently the guy with the gun was known as one of the local idiots, was high on meth at the time, and was a convicted felon illegally in possession of a firearm.

the thing is, what is so great about shooting nutrias?

I guess they're not a native species or something so the environmentalists hate them.

are they good to eat or something?

I had to look this one up. It seems they were introduced since they breed quickly and have valuable fur. Supposedly, the government introduced them in the late 1800's to help the fur trade and now they've gotten out of hand in some areas.

Nutrias are from South America? Well, you learn something new every day.

Kicking seagulls can be quite a challenge, as they can give as good as they get.

This thread makes me irrationally angry. Also, nutria is such a stupid name for coypu.

interesting, I had always thought they were rather related to otters than to beavers (castoridae)...
OTOH
you might consider them as a merge, a Hybrid between otters and beavers, thus apltly naming them H-otter-beaver...

On the Island of Coypu there lived a creature called Nutricia, that fed only on babymilk powder.

this is a very "deliverance" story, the victim can count himself lucky he wasn't asked to do the pig and sodomised
