Got my first angry parent phone call (well I assume its an agry one as I missed it and am certainly not calling back until monday)

Had an group of kids picking on a kid who has come out - suggesting he would like a clamp stand shoved up his arse. I stopped the whole class, gave them a good (and fairly loud) explanation of how I wouldnt tollerate bullying in my lab, one started sniggering and laughing so he got a bit more about general manners and respect. He stood up, shouted Fuck Off at me (loud enough for the Head of department two labs away to hear) and stormed out.

What I didn't see but the HoD did was that as he stormed out of science he kicked the front door open so hard that he only got half way through it before it slammed back on his head.

Assuming the parent hasn't phoned the head this evening I'm quite looking forward to telling his mum that he's a homophobic little twat on monday.

They'll probably insist their sun (pun intended) was entirely entitled to bully the gay kid. They may also sue the school for allowing indecent exposure or something.

Hates gays? Check.
Fits of violent rage? Check.
Likes to bully? Check.

Clearly a future conservative voter with a bright future in politics should he decide to go that route.

I've got a nephew that's a prime candidate for a future Poly-by-day, Eventis-by-night poster. His parents have done the entire "strictly enforced discipline" routine from Richard Ferber up, and he is now (in what anyone with half a mind, that is not a conservative, can see is the obvious result) intentionally "naughty", breaking rules whenever he can. He's three years old and he's gonna be one hell of a rebellious teenager.

I am surprised he puts up with everyone calling him a dick. He is the Vice President.

Well, if you push him, he takes you 'duck hunting.'

well, I was going to phone the parent but my Boss stopped me and got one of the year pastoral support staff to do it instead.

kid has got a days internal suspension for the swearing (which seems fair), and a bollocking from his parents for picking on the other kid. I've got another amusing story to add to my collection so alls well that ends well.

Just remember to use the 'OK, I see where he gets it' at least once!

Also, kick his dad in the balls, he did a bad job and is a failure.
