15:30 The Met Office has just told us here at BBC Radio Berkshire that Heathrow has recorded one of the strongest gusts in the whole of England this lunchtime. It was 67 notts or 77 mph.

Nice.

Trees down all over the place. My train line home is blocked. This is really not going to be a fun journey home.

Think of it as an adventure. Best started off in a pub.

Unfortunately cos it's winter the park closes at 15:45, so my detour means it will take me a whole 25 mins to walk home through all the shops...

The Horror!

You might get a tree falling on your head.

I saw a dustbin being blown off a trolley and rolling down the street at a rediculous speed. Some guy had to jump over it or he would have been flattened. It was like something straight out of donkey kong. Most amusing!

A violent storm lashing northern Europe has hit the Netherlands and Germany after passing over Britain and France.

They mention all of our neighbours but not us?? CUNTS!

you could have gone twice as fast by walking, not even at fast pace!

Are you assuming the wind was blowing in the direction Matthiggs was heading to?

MoSe
19-01-2007, 10:43:56
No, I ignored that variable, mine was a general comment

with such a wind in the back, if you manage to not get hurtled away, you can "walk" at 10mph

Normally 3, speeding up the pace 4

Britain and France, then holland and Germany, then Austria, now they say it will hit Italy in few hours, Milan too....

Speed of wind in the UK yesterday = 77 mph

Speed of Martins goal v Spurs last weekend = 84mph

Could Obafemi Martins left foot bring Britain to a grinding halt?

If so, is he is a terrorist threat?

Funko

If he was kicking into the wind yesterday his shot would have been an easily saveable 7mph.

Actually, it hit Britain first, then it swooped across the Netherlands to Germany, in the process hitting Belgium and nothern France to a lesser extend.

I would have just got out the car and walked but I'm from Salford and I'm guessing there wouldn't have been much left of my car if I left it unattended for more than 30 minutes! :)

Actually, we've been having strong winds in Poland and (to a lesser extent) Austria for several days now.
