Is the world a safer place to live? The clock says no!

one day soon, some tinpot state or terrorist organisation will launch a nuke, and although there will be a shitload of devastation and a terrible aftermath, the world will pretty much carry on as normal and a lot of people will be very disappointed

Real scientific clock there.

Needs to be digital. Damn clock hands.

Anyway, i should say, as i understand it, they've moved the hands on because they've added climate change as a threat to humanity, so it's not really to do with nukes.

It was originally designed for nukes though. I think they are assuming that cos of climate change - more nukes - more proliferation.

Being hot makes people angry. Angry people nuke more stuff.

Climate change will mean a squeeze on natural resources such as food and water, plus cutting down on habitable land etc...

BTW we all need to go vegetarian as well.:gasmaske:

I can't see a dictator doing that, their self preservation instincts are pretty strong. Except if the regime has its back on the wall and is heading for destruction anyway, of course.

We need a Glossary term to describe maroule's habit of making those predictions where he covers his ass in case of any eventuality.

that's a lie. Unless you can prove it. In which case it's debatable.

If there was to be something called K_Ging it'd be making a bold statement only to have it proved wrong very shortly afterwards. eg. predicting Beckham will stay at Madrid hours before they announce the move to LA. That kind of thing has been his curse for a long, long time. :D

yeah i only learnt the art of covering my ass in recent years :D
