View Full Version : Reinventing Attractiveness

I have decided to overhaul the concept of attractiveness of women of the internet. You see when a guy looks at a girl's picture and she is appealing to the eye, he thinks that she is 'attractive'. Alas there is a big difference between pic-attractive and true-attractive. When you look at a picture, do not ask yourself "Does she look attractive in the pic?" Instead the real question to ask is this: "If I was say in a store shopping and she walked by me while wearing nothing out of the ordinary (and by that I mean normal clothing instead of something minimal or sexy or dolled-up), would I actually notice her?" If the answer is "Yes", then she is truly attractive. If the answer is "Probably Not", then she's just appealing to your inner hornitude. If you ask yourself this, you are going to realise that, in most cases, the answer is "Probably Not".

Discuss and expound on what I have just said so I can modify it and post it elsewhere. Thank you.

I prefer not to let the real world get in the way of things.

Attractiveness is sooooo much more than a picture can ever hope to convey.

Are we safe to assume that Kosko's last date was a heavily-photoshopped munter?

I don't look at women.

And then print the pictures out and compare them with women in real life. Stop one, hold the picture up next to her face, and pass your judgement.

Thumbs up: Immediate sexual assault.
Thumbs down: Punch her in the face. Which will have the added benefit of potentially sending her to a plastic surgeon. Which is good for all of us.

how true - only in rare cases does the idea of someone formed in the mind's eye live up to the reality.......

I favour the old fashion dichotomy

Being attractive on the internet = being mind bogglingly fantastic.

Being attractive in RL = a woman saying yes

It is crucial to demand only the highest standards when you consider imaginary dates

the discrepance btw pic-attractive nd rl-attracive is nothing compared to the delusions you'll face when you get voice- and conversationally- -attracted by a colleague you have talked with several times on the phone without ever having seen her...

it's a fact that a lot of ugly, fat female co-workers located in other offices have sexy, misleading voices

It's called an escort.

Escorts are higher quality than just prostitutes.

From what i've seen of this board's members, there are many people here 'reinventing attractiveness'. But not in a good way.

Koshko

So you think we are all attractive in a unique way?

or all ugly in a completely mundane way.

I need a little more material before this gets posted at XM.

i don't think girls on the net (well most) can translate over to real life. How many of them would be "shopping at a store" in their lingerie or naked.

Koshko

This is why I am reinventing attractiveness. I'm forcing myself to picture them with their clothes on. You'll need to look good clothed and without all the fancy angles to actually look good.

btw, koshko, I think it's harder to look good without any clothes then with clothes.

XM is a site that only I and self-biased know about.

Also you are right in many cases actually. I've seen so many women online that really shouldn't get naked for a camera ever.

Which loosely translates as 'Literally the last place on the internet you should ever go.'
