This made me laugh

A dozen or so Japanese tourists a year have to be repatriated from the French capital, after falling prey to what's become known as "Paris syndrome".

That is what some polite Japanese tourists suffer when they discover that Parisians can be rude or the city does not meet their expectations.

The experience can apparently be too stressful for some and they suffer a psychiatric breakdown.

It's always good to chase out tourists.

That's why the japanese have built a dutch town in japan, so they don't have to come here and be disappointed.

Experience the Romance of Europe. Stroll along the canals and 17th century Dutch houses. Stand atop a historic church tower and take a breathtaking bird's eye view of one of Kyushu's finest bay areas.
Come to Huis Ten Bosch and enjoy our attractions, shops, restaurants, live entertainment and much, much more.

"An encounter with a rude Parisian can be a shocking experience"

well, go in Las Vegas if you want to see a plastic, sanitized Paris, face de citron

I'm disappointed we're not doing better than 12 a year out of a million tourist... that's 0,00001%, clearly room for improvement here

12 a year with psychotic breakdowns. 50% vow never to come back to Paris. 25% vow to kill the next French person they see.

I haven't even been to France and i have a strong dislike for most Parisians. The ones i know are allright though. Come to think of it, maybe i'm the catalyst for that. Maybe that's my secret power: i can make any Parisian into a caring, loving individual.

parisians have strong dislikes for parisians

exactly how can a person have a breakdown beause someone was rude to them?

Are they that fragile?

they need to build up some military and start attacking some people again.

i was hoping this thread would be about the tendency for celebrities to have their sex videos leaked these days

22-12-2006, 10:33:40
Or the lack of quality of those videos. Is the britney video out yet?

22-12-2006, 15:42:10
It never existed.

The French should be glad the Japanese didn't react the same way as when they went to China.

24-12-2006, 04:18:44
I can't believe no one has asked if this is about Paris Hilton.
