It was fun.

Good people
Nice beer
Excellent tapas
Embarrassing pictures

Unfortunately, you'll have to wait until I get home to see them pics, because I forgot the cable to transfer them to the PC.

Anyway, thanks to those who showed up, it was good to meet you guys.

It was someone taking his shirt off...

Maybe you can help recover it (http://www.counterglow.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=36762) ?

Funko

It all started with the usual suspects...

http://www.logicbox.net/~aredhran/001.jpg
Tizzy

http://www.logicbox.net/~aredhran/002.jpg
Funko

http://www.logicbox.net/~aredhran/003.jpg
RC

http://www.logicbox.net/~aredhran/004.jpg
PH's extended finger

http://www.logicbox.net/~aredhran/005.jpg
Nav

http://www.logicbox.net/~aredhran/006.jpg
...and yours truly

Starting at the Round Table as usual, saw RC pretending to read the paper. By the looks of his glass, he had been here for about 20 minutes.

1 pint later, PH and Nav showed up.

We were then thrown out by a group of standup twatedians who had apparently reserved the room upstairs, so we waited for Tizzy and Funko to arrive, then moved to another location.

After another round of beers, we decided it was time for some food, and ended up in a tapas bar

http://www.logicbox.net/~aredhran/008.jpg
Hmmmmm Tapas !

http://www.logicbox.net/~aredhran/011.jpg
and more beer

http://www.logicbox.net/~aredhran/010.jpg
Last bit of cheese

http://www.logicbox.net/~aredhran/009.jpg
and we ran out of tapas. And beer. Multiple times.

http://www.logicbox.net/~aredhran/012.jpg
What is more sad ? an empty glass, or the guy trying to hide behind it ?

Aredhran
08-12-2006, 00:11:06
http://www.logicbox.net/~aredhran/013.jpg
Fortunately, there was wine !

http://www.logicbox.net/~aredhran/014.jpg
Qu'importe le vin, pourvu qu'on ait l'ivresse...

http://www.logicbox.net/~aredhran/015.jpg
I did NOT have sex with that bottle of rioja.

http://www.logicbox.net/~aredhran/016.jpg
Look more intense.

Aredhran
08-12-2006, 00:12:53
http://www.logicbox.net/~aredhran/017.jpg
PH is staring blankly at the happy couples around the table...

http://www.logicbox.net/~aredhran/018.jpg
Tizzy and Funko

http://www.logicbox.net/~aredhran/019.jpg
And of course, RC and Nav !

Aredhran
08-12-2006, 00:15:43
The Evil Candle. Those things are dangerous, I'm telling you.

http://www.logicbox.net/~aredhran/021.jpg
Episode 1: the Candle looks innocently at RC

http://www.logicbox.net/~aredhran/022.jpg
Episode 2: it is Looking for a target. Be afraid, be very afraid... Funko can't stand it and looks away

http://www.logicbox.net/~aredhran/023.jpg
It is Lurking behind PH, ready to stab... but he dodged it

http://www.logicbox.net/~aredhran/024.jpg
Fighting off an assault

http://www.logicbox.net/~aredhran/025.jpg
Episode 3: Looks like it's found its victim...

http://www.logicbox.net/~aredhran/026.jpg
The candle goes for the kill

Aredhran
08-12-2006, 00:20:26
http://www.logicbox.net/~aredhran/027.jpg
And there it goes. Can you hear the voice of Mr. Miyagi ? WAX ON...

http://www.logicbox.net/~aredhran/028.jpg
The horror is just too much to bear.

http://www.logicbox.net/~aredhran/029.jpg
I had nothing to do with it.

At that point, Nav decided that wearing a shirt that looked like he had spunked on it was not a good thing, so he took it off.

http://www.counterglow.com/upload/aredhran/030%20-%20Nav%20topless.jpg
Unfortunately, the original picture has been censor... err inadvertantly deleted. This is what I was able to recover from the SD card.

http://www.logicbox.net/~aredhran/031.jpg
And it was not done nicely.

Aredhran
08-12-2006, 00:24:16
At that point, RC realized that it was getting late, and that he could get in trouble with the Latvian maffia, errr, government...

http://www.logicbox.net/~aredhran/032.jpg
The problem was that he could not make up his mind, whether he should order more wine, or call Mrs RC...

http://www.logicbox.net/~aredhran/033.jpg
He finally made the right (weak ?) decision and dialed the number, but he thought it would be better to blame it all on the Swiss, so he had me talk to her and promise mounds of chocolate in exchange for a peaceful homecoming.

http://www.logicbox.net/~aredhran/034.jpg
Nav hangs his head in shameful regret of what he did.

Aredhran

That's it for tonight

Venom
08-12-2006, 03:14:33
And now for my ultimate insult:

PH and Funko are starting to look alike.

BURN!

Nothing actually, I messed up the IMG tags, it should have been the caption for the picture of RC holding up his hands. I was going to edit it, but then I decided against it :gasmaske:

(probably means Tizzy will kill me next time I come here, but hey...)

Tizzy
08-12-2006, 11:36:22
If you tell me what the caption should have been (and make it good) you might just escape with your life.

Drekkus

To add more trickyness to the subject, but has Tizzy lost more weight since the Reading meet?

Greg W
08-12-2006, 13:46:33
No, that's just being dumb, even mentioning the "w" word in the same sentence as a lady. Did you happen to win your wife off some weird Dutch Lotto, Drekkus? Cos I fail to see how you got one otherwise. :p

mr_G
08-12-2006, 13:54:21
bet Tizzy is pleezzzed with such a comment.
and hah Greg are you married?

Tizzy
08-12-2006, 14:23:35
mrG is right (god help me)

Any other scenario will have your balls seperated from your body.

I thought that might happen.

Anyway, no ball separation required. To me, "have you lost weight?" is a good thing to say (although I haven't lost any more), it translates in my head as "you look great"

Actually, I just reversed the captions (or the images, depending on how you look at it), so it should have been, "look more intense".

OK, maybe not as flattering as you might have hoped, but at least it's the truth and not some blatant lie to get me out of trouble.

So should I ever come back to the UK or not ?

Hmm, honesty counts for a lot.

Bottles of wine count for more though :D

Though Tizzy seems to have taken it well. :)
