Why do you need to go to London for this? Much cheaper to buy a lollipop. Train with that.

Better pubs and company there

The class finishes at 17:00 and the Round Table is not too far away from the training facility (I think) - it's the Oracle center near Liverpool station.

Tizzy
09-11-2006, 14:42:37
That journey should take you no more than about 20-30 minutes I guess on the tube.

Hmm, I wonder if I can arrange to work in Leicester Square that day.....

Funko
09-11-2006, 14:46:28
Or 35 mins walk according to this...

Aredhran

I might walk if the weather's nice - thanks for the link!

Funko
09-11-2006, 15:01:57
Looking at the route, you go past quite a lot of famous places, Threadneedle street, Drury Lane, the Strand

MoSe
09-11-2006, 15:07:55
1. but of course he'll rather run it!
2. hov many calories would you burn?

09-11-2006, 15:08:43
according to that site, 185.

Funko
09-11-2006, 15:09:21
My favourite comment on their site:

I sent the url to my brother who lives in Texas but visits London regularly, and he said "Interesting. Iíll have to fly over so I can walk around and save CO2!"

Funko

It's ok, Tizzy can't get lost in New York.

Venom

nononono...was the book gone bad.

Ok a certain someone had unwavering faith in THE BOOK.....

Venom
09-11-2006, 15:49:55
I think the book was right. The person reading it was wrong.

Funko
09-11-2006, 15:53:55
And the person who confirmed my guess.

Venom
09-11-2006, 16:00:42
That person was probably intimidated by your steely gaze and the unwavering confidence in your voice.

Yep, me too.

Easiest way to get there from liverpool st is central line to Tottenham Court road, then walk down Charing Cross road (unless it's raining of course..).

Just got my plane tickets to LCY, a hotel reservation somewhere near St-James Park... All set and good to go.

So, Wednesday 17:30-18ish, same place, usual suspects ?

Last I checked, Tizzy, Funko, RC, Nav, PH... any other takers ?

I found New York Easy to get around. Even if your guide book is some how wrong then there is a bus stop every other block or so and the bus stop has a huge map of the city including a red dot marked "You are here".

mr_G
01-12-2006, 20:36:04
London is slightly different from NewYork jesjesjesjes

Venom
01-12-2006, 21:16:09
I made my way around London much better than I made my way around New York. Though New York is probably a much simpler city geographically.

The hotel's at St James. Not worth going back there after class, I'll head straight for the round table, 6 is absolutely fine.

Allright. Class is over.

Stop pretending to work, get on your feet/bus/tube/train and come to the Round table RIGHT NOW
