So, a buddy and I went to this beerfest in NYC on Saturday where we had all the beer and mead we could drink for 4 hours. Afterwards, we went to a bar and had margaritas and shots. No hangover the next day.

Our secret?

Chaser.

8 bucks for 10 pills. Take 2 with your first drink and 2 every couple hours after that. I'm impressed. 6 hours of downing beer, mead, and tequila would usually guarantee a soul-crushing hangover.

Do you still get as drunk or does it interfere with that too?

Caligastia

It doesn't make you less drunk at all. I was more than sufficiently hammered by the end of the night, believe me.

forget that question, i just visited the website and read their info.

nice idea.

fairly pricey i guess, but if it can reclaim hangover days that's gotta be worth it

Of course, I didn't feel completely normal the next morning - still thirsty and feeling a bit woozy - but no pain or nausea.

I only used 6 of the 10 pills, so I think it's well worth it. That's about 5 bucks to avoid a hangover.

Which, IIRC is only about the price of one drink in NYC anyway.

Caligastia

Yeah, it's more like 6 bucks these days though.

Cheaper than buying a fry-up! :)

I hope you can still have the fry up even with those pills!

you only think it helped :)

I did notice the "clinical study" doesn't have a publication reference

I work for the man, and that's not an approved product, so I may be biased.

Nice premise, just nothing scientifically solid to back it up.

Well until they come over here, we'll have to stick to the old fashioned method of toxin removal of vomiting your guts up before you crash out on the sofa...

I'll be sure to post the results of further 'testing'.;)

if you have that fry-up you'll be producing something scientifically solid

We actually started the day with a fry-up.

I guess my friend only thought it helped too.:smoke:

They handed out free copies of 'Draft' magazine at the beerfest and it had a positive review of Chaser.

Sure, it's not scientific, but it worked for me. Better to 'think' you don't have a hangover than to know you do eh?:D

Yum!

Fry ups are the excuse needed to get pissed up - or vice versa...

You do the drinking, you get the hangover. Don't be a pussy.

feeling better than you think you ought to and crediting that to a chalk/charcoal pill isn't scientific, nor is Draft magazine a credible peer-reviewed publicaiton :p

I see conspiracies around every corner, its part of my Myers-Briggs profile. That doesn't mean they aren't out to get my money.

I'm just stirring the pot though, if they're telling the truth about the ingredients, and you follow the instructions, it certainly can't do much harm.

As a nutritional supplement, they only have to prove its safe (in the US) - not effective.

My biology teacher in college always said the best anti-hangover thing you could do was drink a glass of OJ and a glass of water right before going to bed. I must admit that always worked for me.
