View Full Version : Dengels, as she is spoke

How good are you at translating Dengels? You'll need a stopwatch for the test.

We've moved offices this week. Well. moved portacabins, anyway. The new ones look a little better appointed, and are nearer the carpark and canteen. (Dutch portacabins seem a bit better than British ones, at least.) I'll find out what they're like inside when I get there on Monday.

Anyway, to get to the point, our packing instructions were provided by the project secretary, and included instructions to pack our doggy stations, along with everything else.

(Time starts now ...)

We need to wait for MrG.

Maybe Bas will know.

I'm even more confused than you are. I think.

Noisy should give some more context. Is he the dogwatcher at work? Or does he man the doggy-bag hand out desk?

To be fair, it isn't really Dengels, as in a Dutch expression related in English. It's just a misheard English phrase repeated by someone who is not aware of this particular bit of terminology. Think laptops.

Docking station I guess.

A docking station sounds very Star Wars to me.

Ah yes, must have been docking station.

It's a shame she didn't say dogging station.
