Yes- I caught this last night. Apparently he's showing signs of improvement.

It seems the jet-propelled dragster he was driving veered right, somersaulted after the 'chutes were released, then went into a grass verge like a dart.

Same for me. It's the only non-football TV programme I regularly watch.

Get well soon, Hamster.

Bruised buttocks and concussion in all likelihood.

What a cock. Drives for a completely meaningless record and get crushed.

I've got zero sympathy for him.

well if this puts hamster out of action and clarkson can't do the daft stuff anymore cos of his back - that only leaves Captain Slow as the guy to go out and do the stunts.

The mind boggles.

Hope he recovers.

More shit BBC journalism: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/6076018.stm

The guy crashed a jet car at 300mph, it flipped onto its roof and finished upside down, the top half of his body was buried beneath the earth with several tonnes of metal on top of him ....... and apparently he could have died.

No. Shit. Sherlock.

That article really is an astonishing waste of time. It's like an internet black hole sucking up bandwidth and intelligence. Almost as good as CG really.

Mr Hammond, nicknamed "Hamster", went on to describe his wife Mindy, also 36, as "a rock" who had kept calm throughout his ordeal.

One of the strange things with these brain injuries is apparently that it affects your sense of smell.

So, can he smell what the rock is cooking?

A laugh from Greg. Not necessarily something to be proud of.
