Online pollster YouGov is looking for new members to join their panel. You get paid money for each survey completed - I'm waiting for a cheque for 50 as I type this.

Hmmm how often, how many questions long, how much cash per go ?

And why do you not have a personal recommendation link ?

Usually a couple a month, possibly more depending on their clients, length varies dramatically between surveys, and usually 50p or 1 per survey. You can increase your earnings dramatically by referring friends, but you have to sign up first to do that. :)

I'm tempted to say "own goal" to that final question, but if you mean "why are you not using the 'refer a friend' scheme?", I am doing and if you register through that link you will have been referred by me.

Sounds like a pyramid scheme.

It said that if a friend had referred me then the form on the page would contain details or something. All the boxes seemed blank, but maybe I was looking in the wrong place, or something ? Seems ok now.

Ah, one ought not to wander around the site too much first. Seems to lose referrer reference :)

Ummm, no, it's an online pollster. It's simply a referral scheme to get people on the panel. It's one of the most accurate pollsters, with (I believe) the closest prediction to the actual result of the 2005 General Election.

so you, me and EIF can answer the gay twats question then. YouGov will get more useful info than they expected.

Are they online surveys, or do they ring you?

And are you trying to steal Iain's refer-a-friend bonus? ;)

What does prevent me from creating one hundred imaginary friends to get the refer bonus?

04-10-2006, 12:29:58
I'm going to sign up and throw off all the poll results.

The weight of your opinion is vast.
