jesjes, you put the words right out of my mind.

19-09-2006, 10:57:44
It's quite easy really...

en = and
dan = then (German dann)
denk = think (German denken)
ik = I (German Ich)
aan = about/of (German an meaning on, as in thinking on something)
Brabant = Brabant
want = where
daar = there
brandt = burns (German brennt)
nog = still (German noch)
licht = light (German licht)

and now another one herr funko:

Het principe van het velum is eenvoudig: in de gang worden verticale, transparante, gekleurde panelen opgehangen, waardoor het directe zonlicht wordt getemperd. Tussen het zonlicht en panelen ontstaat interactie die de dynamiek van de continu veranderende intensiteit en kleur van het licht versterkt. Dit heeft een koel en rustgevend effect.

stjoepit miester g. Complex words are easy to translate because they're almost identical in all languages.

19-09-2006, 11:00:23
Which one was wrong?

Mr. Bas

The rest was right.

The principle of the velum is simple: vertical, transparent, coloured panels are hung in place and the direct sunlight is tempered as a result. Between the sunlight and panels interactions occur which slightly reinforces the dynamics of the ongoing changing intensity and colour. This has a cooling and restful impact.

That was the only one I didn't know the English or German root of. :lol:

you can have the job of translator of claudia's dutch words.
Claudia's job was sleightly more difficult, she did the mr-G's words into dutch change.

It really helps to have seen the pictures of what you were talking about there.

19-09-2006, 11:10:14
That sentence about interactions and dynamics is pure Architectural bullshit though right?

19-09-2006, 11:12:53
jesjes and no
will post a pic of the model
then the common ppl can view the interaction
