Im 50/50 to make it at the moment, going to do my best. What is the final attendee list?

Btw, Funko / Tizzy you going back west the same day? Any idea what the last decent train back our kind of way is?

Kitsuki
29-08-2006, 12:01:36
Hmm, about 10pm before it starts mysteriously taking 3 hours as opposed to 1 hour to get to Swindon... :o

I won't be there, unless I can still find ultra-cheap tickets for this weekend. Very unlikely I'm afraid.

Yay. I can now post from cloggie-land.

Keith (aka Spartak) reports that once again he will be avoiding the event. How he hopes to prove to me that he really exists, I don't know. He has provided a mobile number, but it looks like a premium rate number to me. Could be anywhere ...

It'll be to a line in Estonia where you'll be asked if you like to be the man or the lady.

Am I invited?-
Since we are going to Kew that day by riverboat, it does not look like I will be there before 5:00 pm. That is when the boat is scheduled to return to Westminster.
Will anyone still be there? Sober?

mr_G

sober is a seriously serious word

Typical Yanks.

Even have their weekends scheduled. And they even believe the riverboat timetables.

I'll be there all being well.

Hey, don't get on my case for wanting to visit one of your national treasures.
Schedules, schmedules. It will be Britains fault if I'm late.
Oh, did I mention that Doctor Professor spouse will be there?

Just to further confuse matters, my brothers band Pete and the Pirates are playing in London on Saturday night... so potentially could go and see them after the meet.

:hmm:

are you going to see the Giant Hogweed?

here I provide you with some background:

http://www.genesis-music.com/

THE RETURN OF THE GIANT HOGWEED
Turn and run,
Nothing can stop them,
Around every river and canal their power is growing.
Stamp them out,
We must destroy them.
They infiltrate each city with their thick dark warning odour.
They are invincible,
They seem immune to all our herbicidal battering.

Long ago in the Russian hills,
A Victorian explorer found the regal Hogweed by a marsh,
He captured it and brought it home.
Botanical creature stirs, seeking revenge.
Royal beast did not forget.
He came home to London,
And made a present of the Hogweed to the Royal Gardens at Kew.

Waste no time,
They are approaching.
Hurry now, we must protect ourselves and find some shelter.
Strike by night,
They are defenceless.
They all need the sun to photosensitize their venom.
Still they're invincible,
Still they're immune to all our herbicidal battering.

Fashionable country gentlemen had some cultivated wild gardens,
In which they innocently planted the Giant Hogweed throughout the land.
Botanical creature stirs, seeking revenge.
Royal beast did not forget.
Soon they escaped, spreading their seed, preparing for an onslaught, threatening the human race.

The Dance of the Giant Hogweed

Mighty Hogweed is avenged.
Human bodies soon will know anger.
Kill them with your Hogweed hairs
HERACLEUM MANTEGAZZIANI
Giant Hogweed lives
