So how much is a ticket to london with the brownstar? I've found direct flying tickets from rotterdam to heathrow for 160 euros.

Drekkus
14-08-2006, 12:25:45
And does the train stop in Reading? How long do we have to travel from the trainstop to Reading. Is it closer then Heathrow? How long is it from Heathrow to Reading?

Questions questions...

mr_G

So how much is a ticket to london with the brownstar?

45 euros to Brussels, 80 euros Brussels to london

And does the train stop in Reading?

No, it stops at Waterloo. (HA HA we make the frenchies stop at waterloo, we are funny). From Waterloo you can get a direct train to Reading (1hr 30 mins) or a tube to Paddington then a train to Reading (1hr 10 mins)

Is it closer then Heathrow?

No.

How long is it from Heathrow to Reading?

45 mins on the bus

"45 euros to Brussels, 80 euros Brussels to london" - Is that a return fare?

That would make 125, vs. 160 flying. Flying is much, much faster though.

Return, yes. We found air fare for 90 though, on Transavia to Stansted.

Train seems to take 5 hours Rotterdam to Waterloo including breaks for changes. If the security restrictions in place, could be as quick as flying.

As quick as flying to stansted, or as quick as flying to heathrow? Flying from Rotterdam to heathrow, and getting a 45 minute busride there seems to be the quickest option by far. If you take the 1 1/2 train ride from london to reading if you go with the eurostar.

But the train looks like more fun.

Funko
14-08-2006, 15:42:19
Yeah, heathrow is the fastest, but most expensive. Stansted is probably a small bit quicker than the train, and the cheapest but I'd do the train.

Drekkus
14-08-2006, 15:47:21
I'm not sure if 35 euros is worth travelling 3 more hours (and 3 more hours return). But like i said, the train might be more fun for a change.

Funko
14-08-2006, 16:21:06
It might be easiest to fly into Heathrow and get the train home.

Drekkus
