I keep doing this every summer despite not really having the time, downloading a bunch of Japanese Super Nintendo roleplayers, and playing them for way too many hours.

This summer's crop has so far included Tales of Phantasia, Dragon Warrior 4, Star Ocean, Earthbound, Robotrek and Breath of Fire II. Not all to completion, of course. Of these, at least ToP and Earthbound are excellent.

What are your favourite SNES RPGs? What else should I be playing? I think I've done most of the best fan translations and most officially-released classics, but I might have missed some.

Dragon warior 4 was NES, I remeber because it was one of my favorite games back then.

I haven't played SNES in so long, have to remember what they had.

Sorry, you're right, it was Dragon Warrior 5.

I played a little of that, it was never released in the US.

I've never found a good site to download and run PS1 games. Aren't they all on CDs?

It's been a few years since I've used a PS1 emulator but even then they were very stable. Usually torrent sites are the best place to download your fully legal backups.

that's *cough* fully legal backups *cough*

apparently Bahamut Lagoon is very good on the snes, but it's more tactical rpg (also you'll need to find a rom of the translated version)

though if it's a genre you have even a passing interest in you should try Tactics Ogre and FF Tactics on the GBA, because they're both excellent, challenging and varied games
