I've got Horse of the Dog, which is pretty good although it has a few stinkers. I saw them once live as well, as the openers for System of a Down. Very disappointing, but that was mainly due to the sound which was the worst I ever heard at a gig. I definitely would like to see them with decent sound sometime.

The only album I have is the "Horse of the Dog". Is "The Royal Society" any good?

That sucks when the sound ruins a gig. Were SOD any better sounding?

Horse of the Dog only has a couple of tracks I'm not crazy about, but the rest are great.

Funnily enough i'm in the same boat as you. Royal Society has been on my amazon wishlist for about three years.

The sound was fine at SOD's part of the gig. I expect the sound settings were completely geared towards SOD's equipment which was totally different from the EMBLD's one. Or something like that, I know jack about sound systems.

I don't know much about them either, but I have noticed that each band usually has their own setup.

They'll go through the same PA though most likely.

But it will usually be set up for the headline act and anyone else just has to make do.
