I don't have sex with people who I am not in love with now, why would that change if I was married.

JM

maroule
25-07-2006, 15:06:43
so how does that work? once you find a girl willing to sleep with you, you fall in love?

JM^3
25-07-2006, 15:10:58
lol, I have found girls willing to sleep with me..

Jon Miller
(OK, so I haven't found girls who were willing to sleep with me that weren't really really drunk.. but be that as it may, I have tried my morals some.. I don't even like kissing girls I am not in love with)
(has had a few crushes, which are sort of the beggining of love.. but they weren't interested in me, so it didn't expand)

"Romantic idealist" = "virgin", in my experience

KrazyHorse
25-07-2006, 15:19:13
And I'm not making fun of you, by the way, Jon.

I've just seen other people go from that viewpoint to a more realistic viewpoint fairly quickly once they started getting their swerve on.

JM^3
25-07-2006, 15:19:48
Well, it certainly encourages virginity.

But it is pretty central to who I am.. it relates to my position on religion, communism/socialism, and all sorts of other things I say (not neccesarily what I do, I am a bit lazy).

Jon Miller

KrazyHorse
25-07-2006, 15:24:11
I would go the other way too. Virginity encourages that view.

Sex is a biological act which lasts somewhere between 10 seconds and 3 days, usually averaging about 15 minutes and whih, if propely performed, brings enormous physical pleasure to both parties. It's no more mysterious or romantic than any of half a dozen other things monogamous partners share. In fact, I'd say that sleeping beside each other, living together, sharing every feeling etc. are all more "intimate" experiences.

JM^3
25-07-2006, 15:33:09
Oh, I really want sleeping beside eachother and living together also.. and moonlet walks on the beach, etc..

It is the complete package, ideal, idea.

Jon Miller

JM^3
25-07-2006, 15:33:58
A lot of people can't divorce sex from feelings, and considering the number the try, it seems like it isn't really natural to do so.

I'm with KH.

Not in the intimate sense, of course.

Not sure why 'of course' was added there.

Funko
25-07-2006, 15:43:37
It's impossible to be with KH for long... he just slips into the night on his own looking for adventures.

But back to the topic, I also agree with KH on this one.

Problem is, you don't know whether having sex will change your view or not.

JM^3
25-07-2006, 15:49:30
So? That is part of my view.. however if there is a couple of lurking supermodels who would like to try and change my view, they are welcome to try..

Who needs to be in shape if you know Physics! The girls love it - FACT!

JM^3
25-07-2006, 16:28:52
Because I think that if I stayed in the shape I was in, I would have an early death. And if I am putting the effort of getting back into shape, I might as well go all the way... feel better about myself, be more confident, be able to do some of the things I have always wanted to, etc.

I never take off my shirt (unless I am significantly drunk) because of how fat I am.. that isn't a good place to be in self confidence wise.. so I think I better do something about it while I still can.

JM

Funko
25-07-2006, 16:29:33
I was only joking Jon... the girls don't really love Physics. Well, maybe some do, but it's not generally up there with "good sense of humour" or "nice eyes" in the wish list...

JM^3
25-07-2006, 16:33:10
yeah, I know

I like my sense of humor, unfortunately, I think that a lot of girls just find it strange

also, I act really strange arround girls who I like/am attracted to/have a crush on

shoot, I have polluted this thread

Jon, at least you identified the right clinching factor, self-confidence (in a canny, unassuming way most of the time, and very direct, assertive, when it's time to close the deal)

sense of humour helps but not alone, otherwise you finish like Funko, being a great friend and never getting a piece of butt
