I think the main reason for the debate was that it was so amazing, people couldn't believe it was deliberate. I tend to think he did mean it though!

:D i missed MoSe's original comment, but...

well we can add two other dutchmen, edgar davids and patrick kluivert, to that list then can't we, as i recall with amusement their one and only season with milan. Luckily milan did not completely destroy them and they were able to become champions elsewhere.
