A surprisingly pleasant folk.

The names tend to be a pluralised form of the word for "belonging to that planet" or "similar to that planet" in terms of things like moons, gravity fields etc.

Mercurians
Venusians
Terrans
Martians
Jovians
Saturnians
Uranians
Neptunians
Plutonians

Then you can have inhabitants of moons like

Titanese
Europans

Greg W

Mooners?

Funko
18-07-2006, 12:07:18
Moon tends to be called Selene for such things, which is the greek name for moon.

And in that it's Selenites.

Drekkus

Selene Dion?

Isn't it the Venerals for Venus?

Scabrous Birdseed

According to my latest googling expedition, it's:

Mercurials,
Cythereans or Venerians,
Terrestrials,
Martians or Areans,
Jovians,
Saturnians,
Uranians,
Neptunians,
Plutonians or Hadeans

If you get too Jovian, you'll get Veneral in Uranus

Now that's more like it.

I like Hadeans especially.

Actually isn't it just Terrans for earth?

Funko

That's virtually identical to my list, but I said Terrans for earth (which I think is more commonly used than Terranians anyway)

:(

Terrans is more common than Terrestrials, which is either because terrestrial has become associated with aerial and arboreal, or because Starcraft is way more popular than latin.

And it's blatently Venusians.

Funko

Which is what I said.

Of the nine planets, SB had four different suggestions. Define 'virtually identical' for me.
