Apparently (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/5107912.stm)

It appears the key to happiness lies in the simple things in life, leading one tutor to pinpoint Friday 23 June as the happiest day of the year.

It's the last day of work before my two week holiday, so I guess it's pretty good.

Dear BBC,
Friday 23th is a crap day for me. Today I have to go to a work meeting where all sorts of bad things will happen to me. First, the colleges there don't like me because this is my second job. And they think I'm a lucky prick. Whereas I assure you I'm not. They are a vicious bunch and they want to hurt me because they are bad people. Very bad people.
BUT I will hold my own as I always do and keep a straight face and take the blows like a maaan.
OTOH it can be ok and nothing serious happens. We will see. But this moderate anxiety coupled with the fact that the editor in chief might be a little angry with me because I haven't set foot on the premises for a long time makes this a stressssy stressy friday. So you suck BBC and are wrong!

It's usually the first day of the Glastonbury Festival, which also makes it the most chemically-lobotomised day of the year.

Hmmm, and I got a job offer today....this may indeed be the best day of the year. Hell for me, it may be the best day of the last 2 years.

What happened two years ago? Did the charges get dropped? Did you find out that Doug MacClure wasn't your real father?

Ah. Didn't go so bad after all...
I'm more liked than I thought.

Well, the day was good for me. Went out on a date with a nice lady, and I paid her enough that she put up with me for four hours.
