I've only ever bought electric guitars before, and would like an acoustic for $100 - $200 U.S.

Any recommendations?

For that price, go for a Yamaha, their entry level guitars are great value.

See if you can find a Simon & Patrick Luthier acoustic. They are very widely recognized as excellent sounding for an "entry-level" price.

I bought a SP6 Cedar for about $300CDN (brand new) a few years ago: http://www.harmony-central.com/Guitar/Data4/Simon___Patrick/SP6_Cedar-1.html

They are all completely hand made in Canada.

On that side of the pond you could also try a Lys as well. I had a 12-string made by them and it was exceptionally good.

Those Canadian guitars sound good Asher, but $300 was a bit more than I wanted to spend. I ended up going with the Yamaha for $150.:)

Damn, I probably would have bought one then. Oh well, I'm happy with my Yamaha for now.

I'll have to take a look. I wasn't ignoring you, it's just that I do most of my posting from work, and my guitar is at home.

It says F-335-BL. Does that answer your question?

No problem. I think the BL probably indicates the colour of the guitar - black.
