As I was walking across the park on the way to work this morning, I saw a man wheeling his bicycle out of a public lavatory!

Is this a short story thread?

No - a small piece of observation on the way to work.

"Pumping is the devil's pastime, and we must all say no to Satan," Ratchasima concluded. "Inflate your tires by all means, but then hide your bicycle pump where it cannot tempt you."

Now, that IS asking for trouble.

Thunderstorms this morning on the way to work, nice and muggy.

I stopped and paid $2.66/gallon for gas.

It's the best I've seen this year.

However, the most I have paid has only be $2.92.

I only drive about 10 miles/day

If I'm right, and that is highly unlikely, we are paying roughly $7 per gallon. We're on 1 a litre now.

yeah, but you aren't really living in a gas driven economy like we are.

still bastid expensive though.

not really, I'd pay $7/gallon if I only had to drive when I wanted to. Not everyone over the pond need to drive everyday. Here, most people need to drive everyday because in order for PT to be effective the cost would be huge. Mainly because we are bigger.
