Yay for pub lunches, burgers and customers who send us baskets of muffins because they've fucked us around so much.

Nice. I had meatballs today!

Am being taken out by Casio for a few cheeky beers in a minute. Sposed to be talking "business" but my mate wants me to find out how much they can source an old school Casio keyboard and thermometer watch.

Yesterday for lunch I had what must have been the world's biggest ceasar salad. No way I could finish it.

It has to be a nice cold weisbier, followed later on by some cold scrumpy.

Not tried that one. It shall be Hoegarrden or whatever it is called. Had some last week and I thought it was yummy. It has a strange taste that I couldn't place. It was a yummy sort of strange though, even mrs nasty liked it. Plus it's a 750 ml bottle.

hoegarden is delicious. I think it's got a citrusy taste, which is why it goes ace with a large slice of lemon.

Fransiskaner, is also delicious.

Hmm, reminds me of my visits to the biergarten in Munich.

Also, it is very expensive.

I remember when we first saw it ever. it was in the Lyndhurst, we were poor students and me and Nills ordered the cheapest beer they had (about 1.60 for some dodgy ale) and our friend Matt saw the Hoegarden and ordered a pint. The barmaid said "Er.. That's 3.50 a pint..." he said "Good.".

This thread is making me want a beer.

I stumbled on this site again:

http://www.readingpubs.co.uk/index.asp

Best mission statement evah!

Welcome to Reading Pubs - giving you an honest view of places to drink in Reading.

This site started with an original mission to drink at least a pint in every pub within a two mile radius of Reading town centre. We started on 7 June 2004 and wrapped it up by the end of the year, covering 117 pubs by 22 December 2004.

We're now busy re-visiting pubs that have changed and performing random re-reviews! Let us know if there's somewhere that needs another visit. Cheers!

First time I tried it was only a couple of years ago in Birmingham. I was in The Bacchus Bar which is underneath some poncy hotel we stayed in. It was about 4.50 then, but the wine about 6 a glass anyway. Didn't know till the barmaid gave us not a lot change from a 20.
