I was really loopy. Kept talking and talking even though blood was coming out of my mouth.

I was put out though. Was a bit weird to not remember anything for the duration, and for a bit afterwards.. (kind of reminds me of the blackouts you get while drinking, actually)

Except the blackout felt a bit more false than drinking. While on the drugs I felt great, but everything was going fine, so I quit using the drugs early. Than it was sort of miserable, but I layed arround for a couple days, than went back to school on Monday (this was highschool). I was allowed to turn in things a bit late though.

Getting knocked out was a fascinating experience. I'd never lost consciousness before, except for going to sleep. It was just like blacking out for a few seconds, then you wake back up and they're done.

My wisdom teeth keep trying to come through then giving up (laziness I reckon).

I had some teeth out under general anaesthetic when I was quite young, and then more under local when I was a bit older.
General was definitely better.

I had all 4 wisdom teeth out under general, due to the fact they were still in my gums and trying to come up through my other teeth. All I remember was pain in my arm from the injection and then waking up hungry. At some stage I was cold too, but I can't say with certainty whether that was before, during or after.

It was fun, except for being puffy for the next week and not being able to eat solid food for a few weeks.

EDIT: Suck my cock

No wisdom teeth!

I'm missing five others that I'm not supposed to. Mostly molars, so it doesn't look as bad as it is. With teeth like this, I could be King!

Now that I've attempted to make this all about me, good luck with the wisdom teeth :)

I liked going under general for my wisdom teeth, but the dentist didn't. Apparently my blood pressure went through the floor and he almost called an ambulance to come take me to a real hospital. Don't know why, I haven't had problems with anesthesia other times.

Have fun dm! Don't drink too much salt water.

I still have my wisdom teeth, but they must be broken.

Mine came through when I was 18, no problem.

That means I must be very wise - or have a big gob!

So you're inbred, but you went to school. Way to rise up above your surroundings.

I had one of them out, no pain during or after (before was the reason it was coming out) and the squeaky-crunchy noise while they levered it out was the worst part (only local anasthetic for me!) The gum bled for a few hours afterwards, so I went back, they repacked it for free, and I was back on real food in a couple of days (though if you have all four out that might be extended).

Here's hoping it went okay for you!

I had 3 of mine out under a local. Most fun part was when he had to chisel one of them out of my jaw. Couldn't feel a thing, but goddamn it was uncomfortable, and blood loss was considerable.

well, that was an experience. I remember them putting the needle in my arm and then things started to spin. They put a paper towel over my eyes and the last thing i remember was asking them why they did that. The next thing I know the doctor and the nurse are standing over me telling me to open my eyes and I have gauze stuck in my mouth. SLept most of the day. Anesthsia wore off by this evening so I've been on Vicodin. I feel really light and airy. Face is pretty swollen too. They have me on 4 different meds. Penecillan, Vicodin, anti-nausea as needed, and 800 mg tablets of Ibuprofen to add to the Vicodin in case it's not enough.

Hopefully the swollenness will go down soon

The next thing I knew, I had my clothes back on (my mom told me that I had to have help) and was jabbering away to my mom...

Apparently I had been talking for a bit although I had no memory of it a short time later.

they didn't take my clothes off.........and i can't talk. i can whine pretty good though. I've been using paper and pen to talk.

What do you need teh Penecillan for?

You can sell the Vicodin if you don't need it, that is what I should have done with mine (I tihnk that my mom did 'something' with it)

I don't think I could talk either.. my mouth was full of gauze

I sure tried a lot though (and as I said, blood just flowed out)

if it wasn't for a number of things, Iw ould have thought it a lot of fun

The penicillian is for the raging case of syphallis.

Had mine out at 18. The dentist said he thought my jaw had enough room for the wisdom teeth to come in but he was afraid it might twist a few of my teeth out of alignment. Since I have really straight teeth he said it was better to just have them out and be done with it.

They used some of that knock out gas on me and told me to keep taking deep breaths. I can remember breathing in five times and saying "It isn't work, this isn't working at all. I'm not even tir..er..ed..." and was out cold. ;)

they didn't use knock out gas on me. i had an iv. and my bottom teeth are crooked now because of my wisdom teeth trying to force their way in.

think i accidentally popped a stitch. Lower right side started bleeding again. Not sure why my mom and family were making such a huge deal out of this, though. It doesn't seem like anything major.

As far as the gas goes, they said they out a breathing thing over my nose, but the anesthesia was through IV.

went for a checkup today..looks like i have a dry socket in my lower right jaw. so i went from having mildly irritating pain to much much pain as he stuffed some bad tasting gauze in the hole in my mouth. *cry*

see, you shouldn't have had much pain now at all..

so overall it is saving you some pain

If you get a dry socket then you'll quickly learn why they were fussing. Also since a mouth is damp it makes wounds very slow to heal.

Edit: Just noticed your post about getting dry socket. Sorry to hear it.
