There is a chance the public can make St George's Day a Public Holiday after this year.

That means a day off with pay. Click on the link below to vote, the site needs at least 1,000,000 votes for the government to take it seriously and give us another holiday and I know you are up for that! As of 13th Feb 2006 we have over 600,000 votes and need that big push to get over the million.
Click on the link (http://www.stgeorgesday.com/voting.asp) and vote.....it takes no more than 5 seconds

Can I vote NO just because I don't live in England and I'm a bastard?

I'm voting no, on the grounds that that website has embedded sound on its front page. Nasty horrid hobbitsss

I bet a million people would seriously sign a petition to have 365/366 days a year off with pay. Somehow I don't think they'll take that seriously. Politicians can ignore almost anything if they really try.

I would like to see Febuary 29th off with pay. In fact, I've long suggested that on every Feb 29th we have a massive party celebrating it. I mean it only occurs ONCE EVERY FOUR YEARS!

If I'm going to have a public holiday, I flatly refuse to have it attached to a fictitious Greek who was foisted on us in an act of cultural imperialism by foreign invaders.

I'm not too keen on bank holidays, because I want to go shopping and stuff on them, but some people are inconsiderate to shut the shops, and not run buses :(

You do realize the same thing will hapen on St Georges Day, should it become a public holiday?

Noooooooooo, really? But still, it's a day off work to catch up on the weeks sleeping/eating.
