is there a way to make it so that I don't even know that someone on my ignore list has posted? if not, can we implement this?

Chris

I ignore that.

Venom

No. And no.

Next question!

MattHiggs

Where's the bigger avatars?

Venom

A good question. A real good fucking question.

WHERE ARE MY BIGGER AVATARS NAVARRO, YOU TWAT!?!?!?

MattHiggs

Nav obviously has no respect for you. I think it's time to show him you're seriously serious!

MoSe
04-04-2006, 11:36:18
maybe he has Venom on ignore

Venom

Nav is going to fucking die.

King_Ghidra
04-04-2006, 14:51:08
not til he implements the bigger avatars

at that point his usefelness will have passed

Note to irate posters: notice how nav had time to write that funkobot monstrosity but not to perform this simple task

Venom

Oh that didn't go un-noticed.

We're going to have to come up with something. Something like one of those gay .sig virii. But not as gay. Something that even a bastard like Nav can't miss.

Nav
04-04-2006, 15:26:03
Venom and everyone else is obviously blind...

See if they notice mine.

Way to annouce it Nav.

MattHiggs

The avatar limit still isn't 100 X 100 - this is scandalous! I pay for this service and I expect.... oh.

Venom
04-04-2006, 19:10:35
Oh, pardon me for not noticing a fucking 10 pixel increase. My monitor has a resolution over 800x600, so 10 pixels kinda gets lost in the shuffle.

Nav
05-04-2006, 12:38:47
have made it 75x75 which is a bit more logical and easy to remember. That's 1529 extra pixels!!! wow!

Have had bigger avatars for about a month now. Really surprised that no-one noticed! :D

Venom
05-04-2006, 12:46:26
Because it may be 1129 pixels, but it's only 11 pixels wider in either direction. No one is gonna notice that.

yes, we demand 1000x1000 avatars

in fact, we demand to give up on this comunication with written word and instead just draw pictures to communicate with eachother

JM

MattHiggs

Stop raising the demands, we just want 100 * 100.

MoSe
05-04-2006, 15:46:27
better, make it 10000 pixels, whichever ratio

Qaj the Fuzzy Love Worm
05-04-2006, 16:04:29
Yeah, I want a 1x10000 pixel avatar!

Darkstar
05-04-2006, 22:04:46
What's the actual storage size limit now on the bigger avatar?

Scabrous Birdseed
06-04-2006, 07:42:56
Well I don't like'em. They suck.

King_Ghidra
06-04-2006, 09:10:06
next stop, that 20k limit thing

Venom
06-04-2006, 12:28:21
Power to the people! Fuck you Management!

Filesize limits won't increase to insure the best performance from the database.

If someone wants to write a file-based storage system for the avatars and attachments then limits can be raised through the roof.

You mean it's not an option in vBulletin?

Nav
03-05-2006, 19:21:51
No it isn't.

Having them stored in the database makes sense for portability, but not for database performance/size.

As the site will very rarely move it would be worthwhile doing it.

Venom

Considering the time you put into the damn bot, you could have written something yourself.

Not even as a mod? I thought the script had a large modding community.

It does? Is doing one chmod really that complicated :)?
