No news there. That's been known and confirmed for a while.

There was the chance he was just crazy. This erases that.

Koshko

He's been working on Indiana Jones IV for like 8 damn years now. I can remember it being mentioned as being in the initial stages in like 1999.

HelloKitty
15-03-2006, 05:41:15
I wonder if he will do the same thing he did with the first 3.

Make Indiana a few years younger each time. Harrisson Ford will be forced to dress and act as if he were a teen.

Koshko

I'm thinking 3 generations of Indy ... Grandpa Sean Connory, Daddy Harrison Ford, and Son (insert rugged looking bankable actor man here).

Grandpa Sean Connory, Daddy Harrison Ford, and Son mr_G.

Isn't the star wars tv show going to be not made by Lucas? I think that has a lot of promise.

King_Ghidra
15-03-2006, 09:47:35
i think a star wars tv show might do a better job of capturing the fun and adventure of the original trilogy and give us less of lucas' serious seriousness, pseudo-science and mystical pretentiousness that seemed to be the flavour of the recent movies

Kitsuki

Pretty much agree with Funko and K_G though a TV show will also have a lot of room to go horribly, horribly wrong. If they stayed true to a lot of the post Episode 6 books they probably wouldn't go far wrong.

The TV show is set between 3 and 4.

George Lucas was stupid before that, for example; Jar Jar Binks and Midichlorians.

Yes, but he knows that no matter how lame it is people will still pay him millions.

he's also stupid in which actors he hires (or the scriptwriters he uses). stale acting...they would be better using Fandango puppets

Thats because he does it himself now. He didn't write the original 2 star wars movies. He didn't even direct the second one.

Drekkus
16-03-2006, 12:49:17
He didn't write those? Who did?

Venom

Rick McCallum is proclaiming that there will be 100 episodes of the Star Wars TV show. Yeah right. It won't last 25.

Funko
16-03-2006, 13:28:25
Millions of Starwars fans will watch it every week so they can slag it off on the internet the next day. - FACT!

Venom
16-03-2006, 13:47:08
FACT indeed.

Darkstar
16-03-2006, 16:51:56
Very true.

Hell, there will probably be 150 episodes. It will only die due to the actors asking for too much money.

Then we can look forward to SW TV Series 2 in just a few years... and a complete remake of the original movies of 4, 5, and 6. Done in a frame by frame exact copy.

An Indiana Jones intravenous? ;)

Seriously though, what will it be, Indiana Jones and the Zimmerframe of Doom?

iirc Lee Brackett and Lawrence Kasdan. Lucas came up with the "Story", those two turned it into a screenplay. I don't know if they got full credit on the first one though, they definitly did on the second.

Irvin Kershner directed the Empire Strikes Back.

After that Lucas was considered godlike and believed it himself, so he started directing and writing alone. Thats how Ewoks and Jar Jar were born!

Darkstar

Lucas rips off a common Japanese folktale, and that's coming up with a story? Well, that is classic Hollywood, so I suppose it all works. ;)

Will the TV show star Hayden Christansen?

No, his little brother needed a job, so he will be the star.

110% stupid now. From theregister

The latest word from George Lucas is that the series, which is set to run for 100 episodes (not so much run, then, as hurl itself into the air like the Evel Knievel of shark-jumping), will screen in 3D. "Do you mean in the old-fashioned 3D?" asked a Time magazine interviewer, clearly frightened. "Yeah, with glasses and everything," replied Lucas.

Ok, if he has it run during saturday morning, as a kids old time matina, that could be a hit. With the 6 - 12 year olds. We know what kind of power those guys have at getting parents to buy them branded toys and swag. Sounds like a great marketting ploy, doesn't it?

From what I remember about Droids, I liked it. But it's been a long time since it aired, so maybe that's just my Star Wars Fanzer love coloring my memory.
