I was counting my blessings on the way to wrok this morning and I've come to the conclusion I am now the happiest I've ever been.

I have a wonderful boyfriend.
I have good friends.
I have a lovely flat.
Next week I am going on holiday to a city I love.
I'm coming back to a great new job.
And for the first time ever I'm about to have no money worries.

:bounce:

If you'd told me three years ago where I'd be now I'd have had you committed to a lunatic asylum.

 for good things

I could point out that you're about 8 days away from having Venom as a roommate, but I suppose that would completely destroy your fantastic mood. Understandably, of course.

Venom, walking around in his big white cotton underpants, yellow up front / skid marks at the back..........what a thought.

MoSe
14-03-2006, 15:06:53

Funko
14-03-2006, 15:07:47
I don't even know what you mean by it.

In my head it's Italian slang for a man panty liner.

Tizzy
14-03-2006, 15:09:25
I assume he means nappy

although, according to Tizzy and to dictionary.com, I wasn't wrong

PS You use a napkin at meal time ;)

MoSe
14-03-2006, 15:38:23
on the contrary

napĚkin (http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=napkin) n.
Chiefly British: A diaper.

brit slang is gettin into me (and without me knowing it!)

napkinky!

Funko
14-03-2006, 15:38:53
Yeah...

A couple of sites seem to be suggesting that nappy comes from napkin. That could be right, and makes some sense, but if you say "napkin" in the UK absolutely no-one is going to think you mean "diaper". They'll think you mean " A piece of cloth or absorbent paper used at table to protect the clothes or wipe the lips and fingers."

That is not Brit slang, it's possibly antiquated, but no-one would use it that way now. - FACT!

Nappy is the word.

MoSe
14-03-2006, 15:41:09
ah, so then not
2: garment consisting of a folded cloth drawn up between the legs and fastened at the waist; worn by infants to catch excrement [syn: diaper, nappy]?

MoSe
14-03-2006, 15:44:07
anyway, I agree that until now I too knew that napkin you wipe mouth and diaper you catch pee/poo

I simply mixed the words up

like as I always confused walrus with narwhal, until kkkch used a proper walrus in his avatar

MoSe

and kudos to Tizzy for having a perverted enough mind to understand what I meant!

Happiness and contentedness is nature's way of telling you something unbelieveably horrible is about to happen.
