View Full Version : Hotel deal in New York City.

I was talking to my boss and he told me the company is a member of some discount hotel group called "Club Quarters" which allows employees to rent hotel rooms at supposedly discounted prices. I've looked up NYC and they have three locations Rockefeller Center, Midtown, and Downtown with daily rates for the "Executive suite" (what ever that is) going for $154, $144, and $144 respectively.

Is that a good deal to stay in the city? Also all three of them say you can rent a suite for around $240-$250 a night and we could probably pack a number of people into a suite (meaning it would have two bedrooms, a kitchen, living room, bathroom, etc...). What are the prices everyone is paying to stay in Newark and would it be worth it to stay in downtown New York at these prices?

Most hotels won't charge you if you cancel a reservation so the real question is what is the cost difference and would we rather stay in Downtown New York or in Newark. What are we currently paying for hotel rooms?
