Been a while since we had one of these.

My top picks:
* http://www.schlockmercenary.com/
Schlock Mercenary.

* http://www.evil-comic.com/
Evil, Inc. A corporation that is almost as evil as Micro$oft.

Schlock rocks, been reading it for years! :)

My bro just finished up Oceans Unmoving II, so regular sluggy is just around the corner.

Since quitting the job with the broadband and lots of time to use it, and moving somewhere with half the dialup bandwidth, I've cut back drastically on my webcomic reading.

At this point, it's mainly Doonesbury flashbacks (gotta catch em all), Sluggy, Schlock, College Roomies From Hell, Narbonic, Something Positive, Nukees, Freefall, El Goonish Shive, and Errant Story.

See a connecting thread?

Neither can I.

Mad Monk, you admit that you read El Goonish Shive and Nukees? I'm surprised.

OK, Nukees I can understand. It's not on my top list because its been fairly inconsistant. Some fun stories, lots of boring. EGS however is like a comic that got taken over by a whole different writer half way through. How long has that birthday party lasted? A year? Bleah. He could have done all that character development in the middle of another story line, rather then the planned "suddenly, action happens ruining the party!".

If you like Errant (I checked it out, got bored with it) you should consider:

* http://www.seraph-inn.com/index.html
Inverloch - Very good art. Plotting is pretty simple, but its got elves and magic. ;) Note: Not a top pick of mine because the ploting *is* obvious to me.

* http://www.sokora.com/index.php?strip_id=1
Sokora Refuges - Elves fighting a revolution against all things evil. Interlocks with "real human world" so you can get a full dose of school girls in uniform and the whole WoW/Elf fantasy at the same time.
