After six years I plan to shut down the LoudMedicine site,

This means all the LMN-email-accounts will be closed!

The scheduled date is the 31th March 2006.

Thanks for using LMN!

The chipmunk picture is on LoudMed.net isn't it?

Scabrous Birdseed
24-02-2006, 16:08:21
Nooooooo!

Can I buy the domain off you or something? The LMN addy is my primary one, I used it 'cause I was sure it would last for a long time. :(

It's ok, I'm just transferring all my stuff onto my own webspace... (should have done it ages ago...)

Vincent

There may be a chance to keep the email accounts as forwarding accounts. I have to check it out

Funko

I could also host some of the old meeting sites (or maybe host them on CG?) if CGB doesn't mind.

There's my rotterdam one, Vinnie's Amsterdam one, Vinnie's Hamburg one.
Oh and Sickenstein ACOL vs Poly drinking contest... etc

Well, I got some free webspace to put part of LMN back online. LMN is oversized and too expensive, cost me 150 EUR/year and it's 75% not used

Vincent
24-02-2006, 16:29:37
I will make a complete download of the content, so nothing will get lost

Funko
24-02-2006, 16:30:06
Wow, that is very over-priced.

I'm running a lot more than that for 50 a year or so.

I am just making a personal back-up of anything important anyway. :D

I've just redirected the SU site to my own webspace and am uploading that now.

The meeting sites are pretty small, I don't mind hosting them but might need a catchy domain to stick them under.

I believe, in the business world, they have a technical term for such a deal. That term is "ass rape".

Vincent
24-02-2006, 16:32:47
And I don't need all 1500 email accounts

Funko
24-02-2006, 16:34:02
:D

I only get 100. And am using... 5.

MrG has just pointed out that the invisible snails were following Mobius as far back as 2001... we just didn't know.

Makes me a little sad, but I figured out I payed 750 EUR for it in total. :o

So now you decide to be a cheap bastard?

Vincent
24-02-2006, 16:46:30
I will spend it for women and wine

Lurker the Second
24-02-2006, 16:47:50
There is absolutely no retort for that.

That's a lot of loot. is there anything that can be done to save the e-mail?

Nav
24-02-2006, 18:00:59
I'd be more than happy to host the domain or put the content on cg.

Unfortunately I can't offer any e-mail services.

I think I had a loudmedicine email account. :hmm:

DaShi
26-02-2006, 07:33:32
Oh, I got that job afterall.

Spartak
26-02-2006, 08:00:06

Vincent

That's a job?

Spartak@CPH
27-02-2006, 19:15:09
I wasn't aware you had applied for a job.

DaShi
28-02-2006, 03:33:42
I'm always apply for jobs. But the post was supposed to be a joke that I had applied for a job using a loudmedicine.net email, which I hadn't checked in 6 years only to discover that I had gotten the job. :bash:

Dyl Ulenspiegel
28-02-2006, 03:47:47
Now that's bad luck, feeling so sorry for you.

DaShi
28-02-2006, 06:24:59
:bash: It didn't happen. It was a joke, a poor one at that.

Immortal Wombat
28-02-2006, 07:01:48
So you didn't get the job at all? :(

Better luck next time.

Dyl Ulenspiegel
28-02-2006, 07:05:00
He didn't get the job because he missed the mail. At least that's how I understand it....

Immortal Wombat
28-02-2006, 07:50:52
Oh, I thought he meant that he didn't get the job, but he only just found out, because for the last 6 years he'd been assuming that there was a reply to his loudmedicine.net email address when in fact there wasn't.

Funko
28-02-2006, 08:52:03
DaShi, do you sometimes wonder why you bother? :(

Gary
28-02-2006, 08:54:33
Usually there needs to be a hint that it's a leg pull, otherwise fooling folk is a forgone conclusion (unless you've done it once too often previously, that is) which sort of ruins the joke.

Gary
28-02-2006, 08:56:17
Oh, and sorry to hear you got the job.

DaShi
28-02-2006, 09:34:52
:D

I also have that problem in real life. People don't always know when I'm joking. I've been in front of many a judge because of it. (That part's a joke)

Chris
28-02-2006, 12:10:14
You could avoid that if you would just stop dropping your trousers.

Venom

Christ. We've been playing this retarded game for years now and so many of you fucking idiots still don't know the rules.

Do you go and play soccer with a frisbee or have you managed to lock down the rules for that game?

MoSe
28-02-2006, 14:15:14
yes: I have enjoyed many games of frisbee-soccer

Can't 100-0 a question.
haven't you just explained the obvious?
but of course it's about the rules ;)

mr_G
28-02-2006, 14:25:12
Of course the girls are very impressed by the skills of Father Bob and his "physical equipment". Just a split second and he fails to observe the move of his opponent.

Spartak@CPH
28-02-2006, 14:52:31
Anyway only Funky and Funko are allowed to interpret the rules & Funky is missing presumed married.
