After (say) 100 sessions are started, "we can disconnect, or block new ones, or even slow down the rate they are transmitted," said Sandvine. "With customers who use this technology, we've got the traffic from 70 per cent to 20 per cent," he boasted.Interesting. So ISPs mess up your connection with no troubling of their conscience. Rather than supply the demand.

"Users are moving from sharing three meg songs to uploading and downloading 600 gig movies. That means that service providers have had to apply a lot of traffic assistance for this increased traffic."That must be one hell of a HDTV quality movie.

600 gig movie? What the fuck? Is that thing 100000x80000 pixels or something?

Bullshit. All three Lord of Cock Ring movies aren't that big combined.

Maybe it's the extended HD versions.

BTW, that's fairly standard with ISPs. Throttling back users without telling users to keep their costs down and maximize their personal profits. All the major ISPs admit to doing that.
