Right off of the Pacific Coast Highway; I've actually been there before. The central coast has lots of dead and dying farm towns which have been abandoned by the young people so all that is left are a few old people and some of the best scenery in the state.

I've found a really cool little ghost town in San Diego, in the hills west of Santa Isabella, which has nothing left but a bunch of boarded up Victorians and an old graveyard. It was kind of interesting to read the names of the people who lived there and died there in the 19th century.

Is using cool city and arizona together meant to be ironic?

King_Ghidra

I know but cool city... and it's in the desert (and arizona isn't cool in the other sense either). :D

I'm sure you didn't get where you are today by being ironic about Arizona though.

C.J.: I didn't get where I am today by everything smelling of Bolivian unicyclist's jockstraps!

I'm sure you didn't get where you are today by being ironic about Arizona though. Last summer I was in Flagstaff, Arizona, which is in every way a cool place.
