That Chris Huhne geezer was really impressive and he's got my vote...

Lib Dems' dark horse comes up on the rails (http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,17129-2030084,00.html)

Good for him, but if he wants to do well, doesn't he have to appeal to those not attending hustings ?

Maybe he needs to spend a little time publicizing himself to the rank & file ?

If Huhne gets elected, why don't you defect? At least Kitsuki should - quite why he insists on being a tory with his views is a total mystery to me.;)

I read in the Times yesterday (it was in the Chinese...) that the tories are sending someone over to learn the Republican election secrets. :(

It is bad enough that Blair has brought this whole 'presidential' style campaigning in. :(

That was the Tom Baldwin article about Tim Montgomerie's trip. Baldwin is a well-known New Labour lackey whose primary role at the Times is to print verbatim whatever Alastair Campbells tells him too. Since Campbell left Downing Street, he has become an irregular contributor, strangely enough.

Montgomerie is editor of Conservativehome.com and went to the States to study online campaigning. Although he met with Republicans and attended CPAC I understand he also consulted Democrats.

The story was a hatchet-job and bore little or no relevence to what Tim was actually there for.

If Simon "Mao" Hughes gets elected leader I'll welcome you over to us with open arms... ;)

No, unfortunately Mob is an old-fashioned Liberal. What he's doing in the lib dems is a complete mystery.
