The car I want to drive more is the Mk1 Fiesta in my Gran's garage, but I'm waiting until it has been re-sprayed.

De ja vu! In Europe it's not classed as a chick's car. The fact that it's the worst possible Maroon colour in the world makes it even less feminine.

Honda civic - want a civic hybrid to make the commute cheaper, will probably end up with a honda CR-V for practical reasons.

I'd prefer to drive almost anything else.

Mostly I want my gas-guzzling, loud, unreliable Jeep Wrangler back.

You should thank god for that cultural difference. I've never seen a non-massively gay man drive one.

Ford Focus. The lease ends this year, so I get to pick a new one. I really want a Audi A4 Avant. But that one's probably not covered by the leasepayment, so it will cost me extra.

I've pretty much decided on a Mustang as my next car (probably early next year). My buddy at work says they are a great chick magnet, and they don't cost all that much. :)

I figure I'm old enough, the insurance shouldn't be bad at all. And it's time to live a little and have fun while I still can. If I wait too long, I'll look like a pathetic old fart trying to relive his glory days.

Bah - a "good" car isnt always the one with the most power and luxurious fitting blah blah :p

Provost Harrison
08-02-2006, 13:12:06
Well I have a Nissan Almera, a bit of a grandad car, but that makes it cheap on insurance for it's size and power and pretty comfortable with all the mod cons. And damn reliable. My mother has had loads of Nissans, all old bangers, and she's had next to no bother with any of them - the last one was a 17 year old Micra and that only went because she fancied a Golf. My previous Peugeot 106 was an utter bastard and hence I got rid of it, even though it was only a few years old.

Next, I might look at getting something like a Lexus (second hand of course).

Rodgers
08-02-2006, 13:44:29
I often thought of a 106 - sounds like I avoided a mistake then.

The old-shape Celicas are dirt cheap and still really reliable. I was just eyeing up a 2.0 for 4000.
