Is awesome. Anyone else watching it?

I just got the first season on DVD and watched all but the last two episodes (of the first season). I don't watch TV so haven't watched any of the second season.

I have some questions about things, and hope that it all comes together in a semi reasonable way. One thing I am wondering is if they have all been implanted or something by Cylons.. everyone acts pretty funny.

Also, there seems to be different branches inside the Cylon command...

And how common does Adama get those messages...? (like about the 12 models)

Best show on TV.

No, they haven't all been implanted by Cylons.

That's the only time Adama ever got a message.

Been all over this show since I accidentally caught the mini-series right before the show premiered. Best show on TV indeed, although the last 2 episodes have been sub-standard.

Told ya, the last two have sucked.

Before that the show was smokin.

Two out of 27 isn't so bad. In the commentary for the last episode, Ron Moore (creator, head writer) said it was the first one he didn't like. I thought Epiphanies was OK, but the ending was kind of stupid.

The first half of the second season is. The second half is running on TV now.

And the Season 2.0 DVD set doesn't include the extended version of the last episode that the full season 2 set is supposed to have.

Yes, as a rule, never buy the half season set.

It seems the fuckfaces at Sci-Fi channel like to rip people off and release shitty early releases and then provide the better on later. They did it with the first season by not including the mini-series on the first set.

I read a book titled Battle Star Galactica that was pretty old in the mid 90s..

I have watched more, 6 episodes left to go on the first half of the second season

I was sorta under the impression that there is a limited number of bodies for each model, does that mean that Sharon is about gone?

also, ever since he became a man, Dr Gaius has been a lot meaner (he use to be self serving and bumbling, now he is a bit scary)

what in the world happened on Kobol?

On Kobol, a bunch of characters died, and they found a map to Earth. Your other question will be explained further when you move on to Season 2.5.

Sorry, I miscounted the episodes, and thought you'd had the Kobol story resolved. :o

Just watched the mini-series today and waiting for season 1 in the post - great so far!

Normally I don't buy series DVD's like this but since it's on Sky One which I don't have and pretty much guarantees it won't be on a channel I do have for a long time and the price was stupidly low, I thought why not...:bounce:
