Not only did Cryptic get company of the year (Blizzard runner up/HM), but City of Villains took game of the year, and Guild wars took second place/honorable mention.

Not a bad run.

EQ2, desert opf flames took best expansion (DAOC exp runner up), and age of Conan took most anticipated game of 2006 (WTF? People are anticipating that?)

Are you looking at different awards?! Readers Choice awards on that site EVE won most of them including company of the year and best game of the year.

Yeah. The readers choice awards are basicly whichever company can get the most players to vote. Blizzard, SOE, CCP, Cryptic, etc all had ads asking their players to vote. CoH even had a notice in their launcher for a week about it and a friend bitched about WOW doing the same thing.

It does say something major though, that a game as small as Eve managed to take 3 or 4 catagories by a huge margin away from WoW and, GW and Lineage 1/2 with their collective 15 million players.

Eve players love their game and company.
