Therefore the '+' = '00'...:D

I didn't know what the + meant. I thought it was like 1+44 or something.

'+' stands for whatever your particular country uses as its code to get to the international network. In the UK, as in many other countries, this is '00'

After that you add the country code for the country you are trying to dial to, for example the UK is '44'.

After that you dial the local number.


e.g. local number may be - 4567890

for a long distance national number you add the long distance code and the area code - 0 123 4567890

For an international number you add the international outgoing code and the country code - 00 44 123 4567890
